STOCCConverter™ is a migration tool for transforming capture solutions developed in OpenText Capture Center (OCC) to Intelligent Capture (IC) - formerly called Captiva. It is designed to help customers make the transition with minimal impact to their business processes, providing equivalent functionality in IC wherever possible while leveraging the best of what is available in the new platform, thereby minimizing the risk of redevelopment..

STOCCConverter starts with the OCC source files - the Hotspot configurations, the profiles, System Configuration files and all associated information about Classification, Extraction, DocClasses, DocTypes, Export profiles and Custom Scripting Assemblies. At the click of a button, it translates the OCC configurations to an equivalent Capture System for IC. Almost 70 to 80% of redevelopment time is saved and functionality is translated to the new environment.

STOCCConverter automatically generates CaptureFlows, Import Profiles, Image Processing Profiles, Image Conversion Profiles, Document Types, Advanced Recognition Project with Classification Templates and Extraction Fields - optionally with IEE enabled, Export Profiles and Custom Scripts.

Since Custom Assemblies for OCC and Scripting for IC both use .NET based code, STOCCConverter attempts to automatically create equivalent scripts for IC. Since the Object-Event model of both products is completely different, it is not possible to fully automate this process, but the Stellaris OCC Migration Tool can automatically convert between 50 to 80% of the code to the equivalent Object-Event model depending on the complexity of the scripts.

Apart from the capture solution, STOCCConverter also generates a Solution Design Document that contains all details of OCC configured profiles, Hot Spots, Doc Classes, Doc Types and Fields. This document can serve as the basis of the Design Document for IC Capture System.
